On February 11th more than 30 girls gathered for the very first HCI ‘Girls, Girls Talk’, a girls group established as a place for girls to come and learn about girl’s and women’s issues in a safe and fun environment. The group has discussed female specific hygiene, reproductive health, STI’s/HIV, and future meetings will focus on education, faith, and healthy relationships. Most participants are between the ages of 10 and 18 years of age, and after three meetings with strong attendance, we continue to attract new members. The meetings also incorporate activities such as drawing, sewing, volleyball, and more.
