On April 13th, HCI escorted the Cape Coast Milo finalists, Mfantsipim, Catholic Jubilee, and Wesley Girl’s School, to Accra to compete in the 2012 Milo Junior Ball finals. Catholic Jubilee won an extremely close game in one of the first rounds of basketball, making a major comeback in the last minutes, to advance to the semi-finals where they met Mfantsipim in a Cape Coast battle. Mfantsipim came away with the win in a very close game that ended 13-10. Unfortunately, Mfantsipim went on to lose a tough finals game against Garrison School from Accra. The Wesley Girls dance team did a fantastic job while competing against Milo finalists from Ghana’s other regions. They had a well-coordinated routine, and made HCI very proud in their two rounds of dancing. The teams were rewarded at the end of the day with notebooks and Milo products. Overall, the day was a great success, and all three schools enjoyed traveling outside of Cape Coast and participating in a high level of competition.
