We are glad to announce a new partnership with African Soul Train, created by musical director Steven Sacky and artistic director Jeffrey Wood (Mr. Fantastik).  African Soul Train is an internationally recognized African drum and dance company that has worked with professionals, students and travelers from around the world.

The partnership evolves around helping the youth Hoops Care interacts with. The partnership also include placement of foreign volunteers in HCI programs and activities.

Hoops Care has also given full permission to African Soul Train to host events gear towards raising funds for our on going malaria awareness and prevention initiatives.

Jeffrey Wood (Mr. Fantastik), in a Skype call, stated that he is excited and willing to do his best in helping the youth of Cape Coast. He caution them to remain honest and discipline and wishes to so see them soon.

We here at Hoops Care are also over joy knowing how Mr. Fantastik has always been there when in Ghana.

Help us raise funds to combat malaria in our communities

HCI

Hoops Care International (HCI) is a non-governmental organization located in the community of Amanful in Cape Coast, Ghana. It officially began in 2008 as a program to empower youth in the community through sports. Since then, it has grown to include care and outreach surrounding health and education. HCI works closely with youth from twelve schools in Cape Coast, along with single mothers, teen mothers, and handicapped individuals. In addition to running regular activities and programs surrounding sports, health, and education, HCI also coordinates events to address important issues. HCI has made a significant impact with its programs already, and always looks for new ways to support and empower community members
