After contacted by Claudius Thompson last year, Benny Bonsu, a talk show host from England and public relations officer of BL Sports, agreed to be the official HCI ambassador. On April 4^th, she visited Cape Coast with husband, Lewis, and was introduced to HCI’s office and staff for the first time. HCI met with Benny to discuss the organization’s programs, and took her on a tour of Amanful. She was able to visit homes of teen mothers, and assist in installing treated bed nets before visiting the court at Victoria Park. Afterwards, staff had a discussion with her regarding goals for the future of HCI and how she could best support the NGO’s efforts. HCI is very excited to have a passionate and hard-working woman to support the programs and speak out about HCI and the issues the Amanful community faces. She will be working hard to further build the HCI basketball program, and assist with the upcoming store project aimed to empower single and teen mothers.
